I have chosen to compare this picture of Green day from 'Keerang!' with the front cover image from my magazine to explain how many magazine represents a particular social group. As you can see in this images of the both men are nearly same in the sense that they've both got their arms crossed, they share similar facial expressions- both look serious and staring straight at the camera. Also, they are wearing similar costume- tie, black shirt, black trousers and they having the same hairstyle as well. Both pictures are taken on a white background, they are also wearing dark clothes to make contrast with a black and white colours, in the Green day picture the background is a washed out white and you cant see anything else in Connors picture he is standing in front of white curtains- to makes it look well and stand out. Billy Joe's hairstyle is longer and more darker he also has paler skin and has makeup on his face which gives him a punk look. Connor has much lighter hair and the lighting used is more duller and warmer, his skin is more tanned and both pictures were taken inside and were staged. overall i think that this represents young social group of people that are most likely to listen to rock music .
